The 2025 season begins May 5 with the fresh invigorating Cariboo Spring. The ice is off the lake and the grass is turning green. This is the ideal time for people who prefer a quiet ranch with the trails to themselves. The pastures and trails are lush and green and the birds and wildlife are active.

May 5 - 9, 2025

How would you like to be a wrangler in training? The ranch will be open May 5 - 9 for guests who would like to join us in our annual spring work party (16 years and older). Fixing fences, opening trails, piling firewood, cleaning up the tack room, and sprucing up the grounds. There's fellowship, great meals, nightly camp fires, and lots of chances to ride. Cost is just $229 per day and that includes food, lodging, and a horse assigned to you for the entire stay. In return, all you do is help out in the mornings.

Opening Weekend

Our first long weekend of the year is when things get busy and the ranch starts to fill up with families and friends. It's a weekend of riding in great May weather followed up by extra activities and surprises in the evenings!

Summer

The summers in BC's Cariboo region are sunny and warm which is ideal for both horseback riding and summer activities by the lake. This is our family period with children on school vacation. The lake is perfect for swimming and we also have tubing and boat rides every afternoon. This is ideal for guests who enjoy the hustle and bustle of a busy ranch with campfires, archery, canoeing, sing songs, karaoke and quiet evenings on the dock listening to the loons.

July Long Weekend

June 27 - July 1, 2025

This is the special weekend every yea when school is out and the ranch fills up with families and children of all ages. Lots of special activities, supervised trail rides, special food treats for the kids, lawn games and tubing.

Many guests choose the fall for the clear cool days of riding in the brilliant fall colours. The cabins are heated by wood stoves and are nice and warm in the evenings, perfect to curl up and read a book.

Fall Wrangler Week

October 6 - 10, 2025

Last chance to be a wrangler for a week in 2025. Our fall week is a little different than our Spring work party. Instead of setting up for the season we are preparing for winter. Its all about fixing fences, piling firewood, cleaning up the tack room, putting equipment away and cleaning up the pastures. There's fellowship, great meals, nightly camp fires and lots of chances to ride. Dogs welcome if they want to help. Cost is just $229.00 per day and that includes food, lodging and a horse assigned to you for the stay. In return all you do is help out in the mornings.
